Catching up now! Monday

The lovely park we shouldn't have stopped at!

We left San Deigo and vowed we'd all love to revisit one day. So much to do. Headed back north towards LA through Malibu, which was a bit dissappointing.  Lovely beaches, what you could see of them, but nowhere really to stop.  Highlight was though, we saw Sean Penn and his body guard (on a bike with a dog) jogging!  Headed through Santa Monica and its mountain range, which is huge, dry and barron. Neverly really realised that California was a desert state!  Had  a big day driving and pulledinto Pismo Beach around 8pm - knackered! Stopped in a lovely parking area and proceeded to eat and consume copious amounts of alcohol.  The guys deserved it after their big day's drive - well that's what we're saying anyway!  I toddled off to bed about 11pm and apparently the police turned up some time after and told the guys that we had to move on as we couldn't stay there.  Well that was impossible, as they were all drunk so they had to let us stay there! What a hoot! When we woke up in the morn, was told that there was a big celebration/opening of their new park today - haha and there we would have been sleeping there!

Pismo Beach

Leaving Pismo Beach and still heading north, we came into some beautiful places like this one at Avila Beach and Pier.  The coast line is pretty special here - such a contrast to ours.  We've decided to stay at Morro Bay tonight, which is quite cool in places.  We're in a paid park tonight, so won't be meeting the police hopefully!  Whilst I'm doing this blog Luanne, John, Daryl and Mick have gone for 9 holes at a lovely course just up the road and Anne has gone into town.  Now I'm done, I'm going to crack a chardy and sit in the sun. xoxo
