After the Trolley tour we got on a train and went to Qualcomm Stadium which didn't take long, and got great seats for a NFL game between the San Deigo Chargers and the Tenessee Titans! What a great experience! The stadium holds 70,000 people but because it was only the 2nd game of the season there was probbly only about 50,000 there! Of course were now Chargers converts and we won! We had to have beer and hotdogs! Getting out of the place wasn't too bad and only took half n hour to get on a train.

 We got the train back to the Gas Lantern Quarter of town where it just comes alive - full of restaurants, bars and clubs. Obviously Luanne and Mick have set up a little joint on the side - see the photo below! We had Italian, but little did we know that the club next door was a dance/strip joint and when everyone piled out, all the guys were pretty smashed with scantily clad gorgeous girls on their arms. One guy was plastered, punchng the air and shouting "Hookers and cocaine!!!!" There were quite a few police around who made a couple of arrests and bookings and apparently everyone leaves this place at 7pm and then keep going elsewhere. It must get outrageous later on! A great full day and fell into bed early once our mexican cabbie could find our van park! |
